Many Lethbridge homeowners first hear the words "Poly B" during a home inspection, usually at the worst possible moment: right before closing. Here's the situation, and an option that can buy you time.
The Poly B problem
Poly B (polybutylene) piping was common in homes built from the late 1970s through the mid 1990s. It's grey, flexible, and was cheap to install. Many homeowners pair the valve with a staged replacement plan, tackling the most vulnerable sections first.
