Plumbing, Heating & Gas in Magrath

Certified service for the Garden City, about 25 minutes south of Lethbridge: heritage-home repipes, furnace tune-ups, and licensed gas fitting.

Serious About Water Since 1899

Magrath was founded by settlers recruited for one particular talent: knowing how to move water. The Galt Canal, Canada's first large-scale irrigation system, opened its head-gates here in 1899, and the town spent years wearing the nickname "Irrigation Capital of Canada." We figure a place with that history has high standards for anyone touching its pipes, and we like it that way.

We're based in Lethbridge, about 25 minutes north of town on Highway 5, and the work in Magrath has real range: heritage houses on the wide streets of the original townsite, homes from the Poly B decades, and 140 newer builds added between 2006 and 2021. One certified team covers all of it: plumbing, heating, cooling, and licensed gas fitting.

House Calls Across the Garden City

Poly B & Older-Home Repipes

About a quarter of Magrath's homes went up between 1981 and 2000, during the stretch when Poly B piping was going into Canadian houses, and the oldest homes in town may still be running galvanized supply lines. If that sounds like yours, we can check what's actually behind the walls and price a repipe before anyone opens up drywall.

Furnace Tune-Ups & Replacements

Fall tune-ups, honest repair calls, and full replacements. More than half of Magrath's homes were built before 1981, and furnaces of that vintage deserve a close look before winter. When it's replacement time, we install high-efficiency Trane systems.

Gas Appliance Hookups

Ranges, dryers, BBQ lines, and garage heaters, hooked up by a licensed gasfitter with permits handled and every joint pressure tested. The new builds going up around town get the same treatment as the originals.

Hot Water for Full Houses

The average Magrath household is three people, and almost 90 percent of homes are single-detached family houses. That's a lot of showers and laundry, so whether the answer is a bigger tank or a tankless unit, we'll size it for how your house actually runs.

Backflow & the Irrigation Season

Magrath runs treated municipal water alongside a seasonal untreated irrigation line for yards and gardens, which makes cross-connection protection matter more here than in most towns. We sort out backflow protection so the two systems stay where they belong.

Cardston County Acreages

Acreage parcels ring the town in Cardston County, some out near the golf course and running on well water. Out there the work shifts: we keep pressure systems healthy, run gas safely to shops and outbuildings, and install heating that carries a workspace through a southern Alberta winter. We cover the countryside around Magrath too.

Clear Communication, No Surprises

That's how every Magrath call runs: we tell you what we found, what it costs, and what can safely wait. Book a visit for service or maintenance, or have us price out a replacement or project. Businesses in town are covered too, through our commercial services.
