Magrath was founded by settlers recruited for one particular talent: knowing how to move water. The Galt Canal, Canada's first large-scale irrigation system, opened its head-gates here in 1899, and the town spent years wearing the nickname "Irrigation Capital of Canada." We figure a place with that history has high standards for anyone touching its pipes, and we like it that way.
We're based in Lethbridge, about 25 minutes north of town on Highway 5, and the work in Magrath has real range: heritage houses on the wide streets of the original townsite, homes from the Poly B decades, and 140 newer builds added between 2006 and 2021. About a quarter of Magrath's homes went up between 1981 and 2000, during the stretch when Poly B piping was going into Canadian houses, and the oldest homes in town may still be running galvanized supply lines. Acreage parcels ring the town in Cardston County, some out near the golf course and running on well water.
